Good Samaritan Catholic Primary School Fairy Meadow acknowledges and pays respect to the Dharawal and Gweagal people past and present, the traditional custodians of the lands on which our school is built.
Dear Parents and Carers,
As Term 2 comes to a conclusion, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and congratulate the students of Good Samaritan for their dedication, growth, and the positive learning culture they have helped create throughout Semester One. It is my absolute pleasure to visit classrooms and witness strong routines in place and the growth children are having in their learning.
Semester One reports have now been distributed, and they highlight the significant progress many students have made across a range of learning areas. These reports reflect the efforts of our students, the guidance of our dedicated teaching staff, and the continued support of our families.
This term we also welcomed the opportunity for parents and carers to meet with class teachers during our parent-teacher conferences. These conversations are so valuable and they provide a chance to hear about your child’s learning progress and identify areas for future growth. For many families, this was also a time to engage in a three-way conference, where your child joined the discussion and shared their reflections on their own learning journey. These moments build confidence and help our students take ownership of their learning.
As always, if you ever need to speak with your child’s teacher or a member of the school leadership team, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We value open and ongoing communication and know that strong partnerships between home and school are key to student success.
As we head into the school holiday break, I have encouraged the staff and students to take time to rest, recharge, and reflect on their achievements of the first half of the year. We look forward to welcoming students back in Term 3, on Tuesday 22nd July, ready to continue their learning journey with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
Sincerely
Pauline Chrostowski - Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,
Just a friendly reminder about the Assistant Principal Appraisal Survey that was recently sent out via email. Your feedback is truly valuable and plays a crucial role in my ongoing professional growth and in helping us continually improve our school.
If you haven't had a chance yet, please consider taking a few moments to complete the survey. Your insights help us better support our students, staff, and the entire school community.

Athletics Carnival
What a wonderful day we had at our Athletics Carnival! We were truly blessed with beautiful, sunny weather, creating the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled day of sports, team spirit, and community.
Congratulations to all of our students - Whether giving it their all to achieve impressive personal bests, or pirouetting across the finish line, all maintained a wonderful sense of positive school spirit and excellent sportsmanship.
A very special thanks as well to our amazing parent and volunteer helpers, who gave up their time to support the carnival, often sacrificing the chance to watch their own children compete. Your contribution does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for your ongoing support.
The snacks and sausage sizzle stalls were a hit! Amazing effort by Year 6 and their teachers, Mrs De Santis, P&F and parents on the BBQ.
It was a memorable day for all involved, and we are already looking forward to next year!
Ribbons and Medals will be handed out at an assembly on Thursday, July 31, 2:10pm in the Hall.
Those students representing GSFM at the Diocesan South Coast Athletics Carnival will receive a Compass event shortly

Netball Gala Day
A fantastic Netball Gala Day was held on Tuesday, June 24, with students from Years 4 to 6 showcasing exceptional sportsmanship and a wonderful attitude towards other schools. We received a lot of positive feedback about their conduct, and we're incredibly proud of them.
Despite the challenging weather, which ranged from rain and wind to sunshine, our students had a great day!
