Australia's first saint. A woman of immense faith and courage, she dedicated her life to ensuring that poor and isolated children, especially in rural areas, had access to a quality education. With her motto "Never see a need without doing something about it," she co-founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. Her unwavering trust in God and her pioneering spirit are an inspiration to us all, reminding us that through kindness and perseverance, we can make a real difference in the world.
Year 6 Mass with Bishop Brian Mascord
On Wednesday, August 6th, our Year 6 students had the special honour of gathering with Bishop Brian for a celebratory Mass at St Therese West Wollongong. This annual event is a wonderful occasion to acknowledge their journey of faith, discipleship, and leadership as they conclude their time in primary school.
Our students were a true credit to the school. Their reverence and respect throughout the Mass were evident to all, and their exemplary conduct continued on the playground afterwards as they connected with friends from other schools.
We are incredibly proud of each and every Year 6 student for showing their true leadership skills and being outstanding role models for our community.
Year 1 will be leading:
Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Friday August 15- 2.25pm
Please join our school community as we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a special Holy Day of Obligation.
The Assumption is a central element of our Catholic faith, celebrating the moment that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken up into Heaven, body and soul. It is a beautiful reminder of the hope and promise of eternal life.
We warmly invite all parents and families to attend our school liturgy as we honour Mary's unique role in our faith.
