MacKillop Touch Football Trials
It was a great day in Wagga for the MacKillop Touch trials last Friday (at least when the fog cleared and the temperature reached double figures). The Wollongong teams including our GSFM students Maddi, Evelyn and Piper performed exceptionally well with a very high standard of skill and talent on display. Congratulations girls on representing GSFM with pride. We’re proud of your dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship on and off the field.
GSFM Athletics Carnival
The Good Samaritan Athletics carnival will be held at Beaton Park Athletic Track on Thursday 19 June. We are very grateful to all our Parent Volunteers for helping to make the day a success. Parent helpers, please meet Mrs Olima at the track at 9:30am. Parents who are not volunteering are asked to spectate from the grandstand or outside the fence.
Please note that there are no Canteen facilities available; however, a coffee van will be in attendance late morning. There will also be a sausage sizzle ($3 for parents) and a fundraising stall for Year 6 graduation. Lollies $1 + $2, Chips $1 and Waters $2 will be available. Year 6 will also be selling raffle tickets for 2 x Jamberoo ($2 per ticket).
Students can wear their house colour T-shirt & should also have warm clothing such as their school jacket and tracksuit. All students must wear sunscreen, bring wet weather gear and have their school hat on the day. Students also need to bring adequate water & food for the day. All students will receive a free sausage sizzle.
Students are to remain with their age group (Primary) or class (Infants) throughout the entire day to ensure active school supervision can take place.
In the event of poor weather, an announcement will be made through Compass and we will be participating as a Competitor only carnival.
Reminder: If your child is nominated to run the 800m event, they need to be transported to Beaton Park by 8:30am.
The bus will leave Good Samaritan at 8:50am for the remaining students. Please be at school by 8:40am.
