OUR CATHOLIC LIFE & IDENTITY:
Loving God,
We thank You for the young people preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Fill them with the gifts of Your Holy Spirit:
Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgment, Courage, Knowledge, Reverence, and Wonder and Awe in Your Presence. Help them to grow in faith, hope, and love,
and to follow Jesus with joyful and generous hearts.
Guide them as they take this important step on their journey of faith.
May they always know Your presence in their lives
and be strong witnesses of Your love in the world.
Bless their families, teachers, and sponsors
who support them on this journey.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
The Ascension of the Lord- Sunday June 1
The Ascension reminds us that Jesus is always with us—not just on earth, but in heaven too. It is a moment of hope, showing us that God’s love has no limits and that we are called to continue Jesus' mission here on earth.
Before He left, Jesus gave the disciples an important task:
“Go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matthew 28:19)
He promised them that the Holy Spirit would come to help them—and that promise is fulfilled at Pentecost.
As a school, we reflect on what it means to be followers of Jesus today—sharing love, kindness, and faith in our everyday actions.
Let us remember:
Jesus may have returned to heaven, but He is always close to us in prayer, in our hearts, and in the people around us.
Pentecost- Sunday 8 June
Happy Birthday! The word “Pentecost” means “fiftieth day” in Greek. It commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples as tongues of fire. It also marks the end of the Easter season and is often called the Birthday of the Church as it was from this event that the disciples went forth to spread the good news.
