OUR CATHOLIC LIFE & IDENTITY:

Year 6 Enrolments for Confirmation

Congratulations on your confirmation.jpg

In collaboration with St Brigid’s and Good Samaritan Parish Schools, we invite all parents and children in our Parish to be part of the Lumen Christi Parish Sacramental program for 2025.

Receiving the Sacraments is a very blessed time in our journey of faith, and it is the means by which baptised children can complete their journey into full membership of the Catholic Church. They are community events, which remind us of the role of the parish community in the development of our life of faith, hope, and love.

Our Catholic Schools and Parish are here to help you as parents in your vocation to make known the light and love of God to your children.

Enrolments have now opened for Confirmation 2025 and will close on Friday 11th April 2025.

CARITAS AUSTRALIA- Project Compassion

Shrove Tuesday- (Pancake Tuesday)

On behalf of our school community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our recent social justice fundraiser. Your kindness, time, and contributions have made a real difference, helping us support those in need and teaching our students the importance of compassion and service.

Your involvement—whether through donations or encouraging your children to participate—has strengthened our community and embodied the values of justice, love, and solidarity. We are truly blessed to have such dedicated families working together for a greater cause. We raised $437.85 in total and the winning house was Vianney. Well done Vianney!

Thank you for being a vital part of this mission. Your generosity and spirit of giving inspire us all as we head into the lenten journey and look forward to our next two fundraisers:

Hot Cross Bun Sale and our Big Water Walk.'

By participating in Project Compassion, our school community becomes more aware of those in the world who are less fortunate than ourselves and lack many goods and services we take for granted.

Project Compassion fundraising activities provide opportunities for students to see that their contributions can make a difference to the lives of others.

At GSFM, we will be participating in four fundraising initiatives for Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, throughout Lent.

  1. Project Compassion donation boxes in each classroom. The ‘mission cup’ will be awarded to the class who raises the most funds in this way each week.
  2. Shrove Tuesday Pancake sale - Tuesday March 4
  3. Hot Cross Bun morning tea and sale -
  4. The Big Water Walk - Friday April 4

Your generous support of these activities will enable Caritas Australia to provide life-changing support to communities facing poverty, food insecurity, lack of education, and water shortages, while building resilience against future challenges. Together, through faith and action, we can bring hope and opportunity to those most in need.
