FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK:

Dear Parents and Carers of Good Samaritan,
I would like to extend my appreciation to our families for finding alternate arrangements for your children on Monday 8th April. The day was spent relocating the administration and staffroom services, which involved a great deal of manpower and periods of interrupted phone and internet communication. I extend my sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff who worked hard to set up the alternative spaces throughout the school.
I will keep you updated on the progress of the repair work as the work is carried out.
As a result of the relocation of our administration area to the library:
- individual student borrowing is suspended
- signage is being arranged to direct parents/visitors to the library
- anyone entering the school grounds after 9am is asked to enter via the McGrath St Gate and then proceed to the library
- all members of the school leadership team are working in the library
- sick bay is also in the library
Early next term, we will be inviting students in Years 4-6, teachers and parents to provide feedback on their experience of our school using an online survey. The surveys are an important part of our whole school evaluation and planning process.
We would like to invite you to complete the Tell Them From Me (TTFM) Partners in Learning survey. As we value the role of parents and carers within our school community we would greatly appreciate your feedback. The information you provide will be used to maintain our commitment to working together in partnership to further improve student learning and wellbeing at Good Samaritan
The survey is anonymous and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. You will be able to access the parent survey on your computer or mobile device by using a URL that will be shared with you next term.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
From the commencement of Term 2, newsletters will be provided FORTNIGHTLY, starting Week 2.
Please continue to also read COMPASS announcements and to check our social media posts.
I wish all families an enjoyable student vacation period and look forward to all that Term 2 2024 will bring to the Good Samaritan community.
Mrs Lisa Tyson
Acting Principal
