The harvest is rich. Aware of the vast numbers of people who were harassed and dejected Jesus called twelve apostles to share in his mission. They were to do the same work as Jesus, healing the sick and proclaiming the kingdom of heaven. Christ still needs helpers to share in his mission. At the end of each mass Christ sends us out to love and serve God and one another.
