Parent & School Partnership:

From the School Handbook:

Car Park Safety

Safety within the Parish car park is everyone’s business. Students, parents and staff can only be kept safe if everyone is vigilant about their actions when using this space. It is every parent/carer’s responsibility to exercise safe actions within the carpark. This includes using the car park as indicated below:

  • Parents are not to park on school or Parish grounds during drop off (8:20am-8:45am) or pick up (2:30pm-3:20pm) times
  • When arriving prior to dismissal at Car Line Pick Up parents are asked to turn engines off once the car is stationary
  • A safe speed of 10km/h when driving into the car park
  • Do not exit your vehicle when dropping off or picking up students
  • Ensure that children are well within the school gate when dropping off before moving off
  • Children only exit vehicles when the vehicle is at the front of the queue
  • Ensure students have safely entered the car and closed the door when picking up
  • There is no pedestrian access to the carpark when car lines have begun in both the morning and afternoon
  • Gates into the school are closed and locked from the Parish car park following the morning bell to go to class at 8:45am.

Thank you to those parents who continually exercise the utmost care when accessing the school via the Parish car park. Every child’s safety is everyone’s concern.

P & F News

Our Mother’s Day stall was a big success raising $1200.  We hope all the beautiful mothers and mother figures in our school community enjoyed their gifts.  It’s always so lovely to watch the students carefully choosing their gifts and witnessing how much love goes into their final purchase.

A heartfelt thankyou to the staff that helped provide the hearty breakfast and treats.  The school community appreciates how much time and effort would have gone into the breakfast, liturgy, and student performances!

A thankyou to Soul Fit gym for donating our lucky door prizes.

Our recent P&F meeting was productive, and we have planned out our fundraising events for the rest of 2023.  Further information will be available closer to the date:

  • 2 August 2023 – Pie Drive through Berkley Cakes and Pies, collection date
  • 1 September 2023 - Father’s Day Breakfast and Stall
  • September 2023 – School Disco, date and details to come!
  • 27 October 2023 – Colour Run

A working group has been established to look at developing our playgrounds.  Development of our playground is the primary focus for our current P&F fundraising, and we hope to provide the wider school community with some proposed changes in the coming months.

The P&F committee are aware of the issues regarding communication and are working through different ways to improve engagement and transparency.  We will aim to provide regular updates on fundraising and the proposed areas for spending, as well as make it easier for the wider school community to get involved with the P&F events.  Watch this space!
