A gentle reminder that all students Kinder to Year 2 will need a clean, empty container to make a maraca in readiness for our National Simultaneous Storytime activities.  This container MUST be at school for their library lesson in Week 4 with their name and class clearly marked on the container.  We will supply materials to fill and decorate the containers.

Book Week is in Term 3 but preparations are well underway for our week of celebrations.  The first task is to create a poster that will help us promote Book Week through the newsletter and various flyers that will be created as the time approaches.  As we have done in previous years, the poster needs to be completed on an A4 piece of paper in landscape format.

The Book Week Poster Competition is open to students from Years 2 - 6.  There is a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

It needs the theme:  Reading is my Secret Power.  It needs original created images by the student. It needs to also include the words Book Week 2019.  On the back of each entry needs to be the student's name and class so we know who will receive the prizes.

The poster competition is due to Mrs Cook by 3pm, Friday, 21st June.
